We are a voluntary conservation group and are unable to respond to requests or questions relating to building development and planning applications. There are legal implications with development work which require skilled professionals with appropriate insurance.
[Jan 2024 update: Please be aware the position of Secretary to the Gloucestershire Bat Group is currently vacant and we will be unable to respond to your enquiry at present. Membership and Events Officers can still be contacted where necessary using the form below. The General Enquiries contact will be reinstated in due course.]
If you need urgent help with a bat, please do not contact the bat group in the first instance, we may take a while to respond to your email. NEVER touch a bat or attempt to handle it with your bare hands- this is for your own safety as well as the bat’s. If you need help with an injured bat, please contact the Bat Conservation Trust directly (Bat Helpline 0345 1300 228, 9.30 – 4.30 Monday to Friday.) Outside of these hours, please consult your local wildlife rescue centre. E.g. Vale Wildlife Nr. Evesham or Oak and Furrows Rescue Centre near Cirencester.
If you would like to join Gloucestershire Bat Group, please see the Membership page.
